The model uses the company’s new TCbA technology, True Closed-back Acoustic, which makes use of the air pressure generated inside the closed earcups. According to the manufacturer, the design combines the powerful low-frequency energy and wide dynamic range characteristic of closed-back headphones, while providing greater transparency in the midrange and treble registers. The ATH-AWX7000 combines new acoustic technology with materials such as Kiso cypress and traditional Echizen lacquer. The model is the first to use TCbA technology. The product differs from Audio-Technica’s flagship open-back model, the ATH-ADX7000, by introducing a new way of reproducing sound in closed-back headphones.  Price: €3,799.
