The camera has a 50 MP 1-inch sensor with 1.6 µm native and 3.2 µm fused pixels, as well as a GP3 processor in 5 nm with AI Neural Processing Unit for advanced low light. It supports 8K30, 4K120 and 1080p240 in 16:9, as well as 4K120 Open Gate in 4:3. The camera offers the same 50 MP image quality and GP3 processor as the flagship model in the series. It has up to 14 stops dynamic range, 240 Mbps bitrate, 10-bit HLG-HDR, GP-Log2, 32-bit Float audio and Timecode Sync. Battery life is stated to be 5+ hours at 1080p30 and 3+ hours at 4K30 with one Enduro 2 battery. The camera is waterproof down to 66 feet (20 meters) without housing, has an updated 159° wide-angle lens, 13 recording modes with scene recognition and machine learning optimisation, 14 percent larger OLED rear screen and support for GoPro Labs with over 1,000 custom functions. The buttons are also redesigned for use with gloves.
