The device is designed to withstand drops, impacts, vibrations, splashes, and dust. It is equipped with an Intel AI Boost neural processing unit for local data processing without the need for cloud connectivity. Toughbook 56 supports up to three simultaneous wired network connections at 1 Gbit/s, 2.5 Gbit/s, and 10 Gbit/s, and can transfer an 80 GB file in 95 seconds with a 10 Gbit/s module. It features an ErgoGrip Edge design for one-handed operation and an ergonomic touchpad. The screen has a brightness of up to 1000 cd/m², down to 1 cd/m² in dark environments. The device runs Windows 11 Pro, supports user-upgradable RAM and SSD, and can be equipped with AMD Radeon W7500M 8 GB graphics. Battery life is up to 12 hours, extendable to 24 hours with two replaceable batteries. Connectivity includes Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and optional 4G/5G. Available from May 2026.
