The model uses MagOptic, a switch technology that combines optical and magnetic detection in a single switch. The optical component provides rapid actuation, while the magnetic component makes it possible to adjust the click response. Via Keychron Web Launcher, the user can customise the actuation point and Rapid Trigger on the main buttons. The mouse is equipped with a PixArt PAW3955 sensor and a Nordic nRF54LM20A chip. It supports polling rates of up to 8,000 Hz via 2.4 GHz or USB cable. It can be connected via 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth or USB cable, and two Nordic chips are used for wireless communication. The G6 HE supports open-source firmware. Settings for buttons, DPI, polling rate and click response, among other things, are stored directly on the mouse. It also comes with a magnetic, replaceable battery that can be swapped in approximately three seconds.
