– We have now launched our own Arida brand for climate products, and will be focusing heavily on it going forward, says Even Jakobsen, managing director of Bedre Inneklima.

– New owners give us the opportunity to concentrate on what we are good at, and we are now investing in several channels, says Jakobsen.

Elektronikkbransjen magazine meets him and marketing manager Henrik Hem at the company’s premises in Sandefjord in March.

New owners and a new brand

– In 2024, Kin Group became a 70 per cent owner, and from 1 January 2025 they took over the rest of the company, says Jakobsen.

Kin Group is a Norwegian investment company that owns several niche retailers.

Bedre Inneklima has previously represented several brands, but now focuses on a self-developed brand.

– Under the Arida brand, we offer various indoor climate-related products, such as air circulators, dehumidifiers and room ventilation for the consumer and business markets, says Hem.

Arida is distributed throughout the Nordic region, both via retailers, its own online shop and digital marketplaces.

– As a specialist retailer, Norway and Sweden are our main markets, but we also have customers in Denmark, the Netherlands and France, says Jakobsen.

Bedre Inneklima still supplies humidifiers from Swiss company Boneco and air purifiers from Korean company Winix.

– With the Arida, Boneco and Winix brands, we cover our specialist expertise and our ambition to be a leading specialist retailer, says Jakobsen,

Smart room ventilation

Arida Venti is a new product in room ventilation, consisting of an outdoor vent, a duct through the wall and an indoor vent.

– Air is extracted from the room for 70 seconds, before the airflow is reversed for 70 seconds, ensuring good air circulation, says Hem.

Venti is equipped with a ceramic heat recovery unit.

– This ensures that much of the heat remains in the room rather than escaping outside, says Hem.

Arida Venti also has a CO₂ meter and can be controlled via the Smart Life app.

– In addition to controlling the room ventilation, the app also controls air purifiers and dehumidifiers, providing full control over the indoor climate, says Hem.

Arida Venti room ventilation is priced at NOK 5,500.

Fans in Japandi style

Arida Breeze is a new range of circulation fans designed in Japandi style. Japandi style is a deliberate blend of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian warmth.

– This is clearly reflected in our use of light wood and matt surfaces, says Jakobsen.

The fan has 10 speed settings and three operating modes (Normal, Natural and Sleep), as well as various timer programmes. It is operated via a control panel or remote control and is available in black or white.

– The noise level is low, making it perfect both at home and in the office, says Jacobsen.
