– We are launching TV first, then white goods and kitchen products. In the Nordics, we are growing month by month, says Mikael De Basso at Dreame Technology.

The Chinese company has so far in the Nordics sold small electrical products within personal care, cleaning products such as robot vacuum cleaners and stick vacuums, air purifiers, and lawnmowers. When we meet the Nordic sales manager at the IFA fair in Berlin in September, he reveals that Dreame Technology is significantly expanding its portfolio.

– We are entering new categories broadly. On the traditional brown goods side with audio, video, and TV, on the white goods side with refrigeration, ovens, dishwashing, washing, and drying, and within small electrical we are expanding the portfolio to the kitchen with air fryers, coffee machines, and ice cream makers. We are also introducing air conditioning and smart home products, says Mikael De Basso to the trade magazine Elektronikkbransjen.

European television

Among the first products to become available in the Nordics is TV.

– The TVs are produced in Europe by a major TV manufacturer, with panels sourced from others, says De Basso.

– The ambition is to be in a higher price segment with high quality, good panels, solid colour reproduction, smart features, and built-in soundbars in the TVs. The next step will be white goods, and here, for example, the washing machines will be attractive solutions with high capacity, says the sales manager.

- How would you describe Dreame Technology as a company?

- We are innovative and fast. If we see opportunities to develop something that provides great value for the user, we do it, says De Basso.

- I think consumers perceive us as a high-end brand with a Nordic touch in design, smart features, and a high degree of innovation, he says.

- How are you organised in the Nordics?

- The organisation is growing month by month. We have more people in sales, field staff who train the retailers, a Nordic marketing apparatus, and go-to-market resources, says De Basso.
