Norwegian Publish continues the Swedish magazines HiFi & Musik and HemmaBio, which will be relaunched in April under the Ljud & Bild platform.

The Asker-based publisher Publish AS, which in Norway publishes the magazine Lyd & Bilde, is relaunching the magazines as part of Ljud & Bild no. 4/2026.

– HiFi & Musik and HemmaBio are two strong and highly respected magazines with a very special position among Swedish enthusiasts. We are proud to be able to continue them, while also offering readers an even broader editorial and digital offering, says Tor Aavatsmark, managing director of Publish AS, in a press release.

Messi on the team

As part of the initiative, Jonas Bryngelsson, journalist and former editor-in-chief of HiFi & Musik, is also joining the further editorial development of HiFi & Musik and HemmaBio.

– Having Jonas Bryngelsson on the team is like bringing Messi onto a football team. A man with his experience and solid reputation is an asset to any editorial team. His thorough tests and easy-to-read style will be an enrichment for readers throughout the Nordics, says editor-in-chief of Lyd & Bilde, Lasse Svendsen, in the press release.

Faster and broader

– I am incredibly happy that HiFi & Musik and HemmaBio not only continue to exist, but also become even stronger together with Ljud & Bild, with significantly more tests and faster, broader, and more comprehensive news reporting online. I look forward to continuing to develop audio and video journalism with my new colleagues, says Jonas Bryngelsson in the press release.

The magazines HiFi & Musik and HemmaBio have not been published since autumn 2025, after the owning company had to declare bankruptcy. Now subscribers have the opportunity to continue, through Ljud & Bild.

– Here, subscribers get access to both printed magazines, digital editions, an extensive test archive, and subscription content via LB+. At the same time, the editorial focus in Sweden is strengthened by bringing three well-known brands together under one umbrella, according to the press release.
