GARMIN SMARTDRIVE

The system combines a brushless linear drive unit, built-in ECU and rudder feedback sensor for precise rudder control. Maximum thrust is 476 kg, and the solution is designed for robust, quiet and reliable operation in demanding conditions. SmartDrive uses fewer cables and external components for easier installation and can be retrofitted as a direct replacement for existing drive units. The system integrates via NMEA 2000 with compatible Garmin chartplotters. It can be purchased separately or as part of the Reactor 40 Sail Corepack, which includes a CCU with 9-axis AHRS and a GHC 50 instrument with a 5-inch touchscreen.
