The field of view is 117 m on the 10x32, 126 m on the 8x42 and 122 m on the 10x42. All models feature fully multi-coated optics for bright images, high contrast and natural colours, as well as a KR protective coating on the outer lenses. The series is waterproof and nitrogen-filled, and has new silicone eyecups, an improved focus wheel, upgraded rubber armouring and a new tripod mount. The 32 mm models are designed for low weight and travel use, while the 42 mm models provide better light gathering at dusk and in shadow. The weight is 545 g for the 8x42 and 555 g for the 10x42.
