MORE AFFORDABLE RECHARGEABLE SERIES

- The new ReCharge series has slightly fewer milliampere, and we can therefore significantly reduce the price of rechargeable batteries, says Bernt Sivertsen.

- We want customers to make the right choice, and we need to help them do that. In the choice between alkaline and rechargeable batteries, the latter is the environmentally best choice. We are therefore trying to keep the price of rechargeable batteries only 10-15 percent above alkaline batteries, says Bernt Sivertsen at GPBM, who represents GP Batteries in the Nordics.

When we meet him at the IFA fair in Berlin in September, he introduces us to Professor Pete.

- Here we use artificial intelligence, where Professor Pete can answer what the customer is wondering about in the store or online. It could be which battery you need for the car key or the watch. Then Professor Pete will give you the answer, so you won't have any doubt that you have chosen the right battery, Sivertsen tells the trade magazine Elektronikkbransjen.

More button cell

To inspire customers to recycle, GP Batteries has a small box they call The Nest.

- We give this out to customers, so it becomes easy to sort rechargeable batteries and dispose of single-use batteries safely, says Sivertsen.

As products become smaller, button cell batteries are becoming increasingly important.

- GP Batteries has upgraded the range with the Ultra Plus series, which provides up to 80 percent more power and better sealing against leakage. We now sell larger packs with two, four, eight, and ten batteries, says Sivertsen.
