EufyCam S4 lets the cameras take over from one another and stores everything locally, with no monthly fees. This is one of three brands from Anker Innovation.
– The most exciting thing is that the cameras work together. If one camera sees a person, it signals to another and lets it take over. This way, you cover the entire property or house, says Markus Jakobsen at Anker Innovations.
EufyCam S4 is among the products the company is showcasing at Elkjøp’s Campus Tech training fair at Gardermoen. We will soon come to the other brands, but first the eufy cameras that communicate via the eufy S380 HomeBase 3.
– Everything is stored locally, either on a memory card in the camera or in the HomeBase base unit, and you own the material yourself. We have no monthly fee, and you access the content via the app, says Jakobsen.

Two cameras in one
EufyCam S4 combines two cameras in the same unit: a fixed 4K camera and a movable 2K PTZ camera.

This is how Jakobsen describes how the system handles several people at the same time.
– If a group of people arrives and splits up, the fixed camera can stay on one person while the PTZ follows the others. You can control the PTZ in the app, or let the camera detect and follow people using artificial intelligence, Jakobsen tells trade publication Elektronikkbransjen.

The base unit can be expanded to 16 terabytes of storage.
– The recommendation is to keep HomeBase indoors, as the material is then stored more securely. There is an alarm function in the app that alerts you if someone attempts to steal the camera, he says.

Radar and recognition
The camera has a 10,000 mAh battery, radar and PIR detection.
– In the app, you can set the distance that should trigger alerts, for example within 10 metres, and choose whether it should alert you to people or animals. Connected to HomeBase, the system can recognise family members, animals and cars, says Jakobsen.
HomeBase 3 is included in the packages, but not when purchasing a single camera.

– A single camera costs around NOK 4,000, and the 4K set approximately NOK 9,000, says Jakobsen.
Strong growth
At the same time, Anker Innovations is making a broad push in the Nordic region with the Anker, eufy and Soundcore brands.
– We have been in the Nordic region for a long time, but the larger investment began around a year and a half ago. The development since then has been tremendous, says sales director Andreas Ahlgren.

– We are rapidly expanding the Nordic team, with our head office in Stockholm, while some also work from our head office in China, he says.
Ahlgren highlights product development and quality as important driving forces.
– The reason for our growth is primarily innovation. We place great emphasis on both new product development and quality, and the products must be at the very forefront. They must be top-notch, he says.
Wants to be the best
Anker focuses on three brands in the Nordic region.
– Anker for charging, eufy for smart homes with cameras, robot vacuum cleaners, lawn mowers and baby monitors, and Soundcore for audio and projectors, says Ahlgren.
– We do not enter a category unless we believe we can become the best, he says.
He believes increased distribution has strengthened awareness.
– We are becoming increasingly visible. When the major retail chains bring in our products, awareness increases. We spend a great deal of time showing consumers what we have, but we are still far from being known by everyone, he says.
Focuses on quality
Chargers remain an important category for the company.
– Consumers invest several thousand kroner in their phones and want better quality from their wall chargers. We have chargers with smart technology that maintains the phone’s battery health while charging, says Ahlgren.
He also points to the fierce competition in the market.
– We address this by investing substantial resources in development, innovation and quality, so that we remain right at the forefront, he says.
