Aqiila launches rechargeable batteries with built-in USB-C, tracking tags for both Android and Apple, and a new generation of power banks.

Modified

- The new generation of power banks is a major launch, and we are also introducing smaller products like these rechargeable batteries with built-in USB-C. They come in four sizes: AA, AAA, 18650, and CR123A, and here you can connect the power directly to the battery to charge it, says Ulf Sandberg to the trade magazine Elektronikkbransjen.

He is a business developer at Cebon, which is behind the brand Aqiila, and we meet him in September at the IFA fair in Berlin. Here he tells us that the company is broadly focusing on products for mobility and easy charging.

- In which cases is it good to have built-in USB-C charging on the battery?

Both Android and Apple

- Compared to other rechargeable batteries, you normally need a battery charger that is connected to a power outlet at home or in the office. Our batteries provide increased freedom, as they can be charged from a power bank when you are in the mountains or out in the city, says Sandberg.

He also highlights a new product category:

- We are launching a series of tracking tags where the same device can be used by both Android and Apple users. We are therefore not only targeting one operating system, but both. We have a license from both Google and Apple, says Sandberg.

Aqiila has been on the market for three years, and Sandberg says that visibility in stores has increased in recent years.

- We fill a gap in the market with what we call "comfortable on-the-go" products, which means we deserve a place on the shelves and deliver to retailers, he says.
