The Dreame Photon LED Mask is a facial mask with LED lights in various colours, designed to have a positive effect on the skin after 28 days.

Kevin Sjöstrand is Nordic chief instructor at Dreame Technology. At Elon Expo in Örebro, the company is showcasing robot vacuum cleaners, wet and dry vacuum cleaners, handheld vacuum cleaners and the new Miramop. The latter is an electric mop that sucks up dirty water.

– The battery life is 160 minutes, and the mop adds clean water from a separate tank while at the same time sucking up the dirty water. It is light, has a nice design and a reasonable price of NOK 2,000, and we have had an incredible number of questions about it, Sjöstrand tells the trade magazine Elektronikkbransjen.

Light for the face

Dreame is also showing the Photon Led Mask, which costs NOK 3,000.

– This is a beauty product, where the different colours have different effects. The blue colour minimises and counteracts acne breakouts, says Sjöstrand.

The effect of the red colour is stated to be 630 nanometres.

– This is one of the strongest colours. It almost begins to approach infrared, says Sjöstrand.

Red light is associated with collagen production and the skin’s appearance.

– This helps to stimulate collagen production and will provide smoother and firmer skin. If you have a few wrinkles or bags under the eyes, the red light can improve this a little over time, says Sjöstrand.

More light colours

Yellow is described as suitable for skin that needs repair.

– If, for example, you have been out in the sun, forgotten sunscreen and damaged your skin, the yellow colour helps the skin repair itself more quickly, says Sjöstrand.

Green light is used to reduce red tones in the face.

– If you are a little stressed or nervous, the green colour will be good over time in helping to balance that out. Then you get a more normal appearance in the face, says Sjöstrand.

The mask also has a combination mode with several colours.

– Here you can really adapt it. It runs both yellow, red and green, and also red in several of the other areas, says Sjöstrand.

Use and effect

The mask can be used with three intensity levels and three time settings, of five, ten or 15 minutes.

– I recommend using it once per day, perhaps five times a week, says Sjöstrand.

– How long do you have to use the mask before you notice an effect?

– After 28 days, you should see a percentage difference, depending on skin type. For some, you may see perhaps a one or two per cent difference, up to three per cent, says Sjöstrand.

From age 25

According to Sjöstrand, the product is aimed at customers from around the age of 25 and upwards.

– At this age, collagen production begins to decrease a little, and with the mask you can start to stimulate it, says Sjöstrand.

He says interest in the product is great.

– In Sweden, this mask is almost everywhere on social media, and we see this is a trend across the Nordic region, says Sjöstrand.
