- For those who have a combination cabinet today, but are renovating the kitchen and want more space without having room for two full cabinets, this is a good alternative.
That's what Rikard Fornbäck at Samsung says when we meet him in September at the IFA fair in Berlin.
This is a freestanding model, which provides easy installation and large internal storage space
- This combined cabinet has a width of 75 cm, with a volume in the cooling section of a full 370 litres and in the freezer of 168 litres. This is a freestanding model that provides easy installation and large internal storage space. It is also available integrated at 75 cm, but then you lose volume, as is well known, says Fornbäck.
Samsung is also launching new hobs, dishwashers, robot vacuum cleaners, and energy-efficient washing machines at IFA.

- Here we have news coming next year, including new hobs with an integrated fan. We also have a new robot vacuum cleaner that has become much better at getting over thresholds, and in addition, new dishwashers. Not least, our new washing machine, which has completely passed the energy scale to A minus 65 percent. This is therefore a very energy-efficient washing machine, with a capacity of 9 or 11 kilos, says Fornbäck.

Energy-efficient washing and drying
- With AI Energy Mode, we can save up to 70 percent more. We register the type of clothes in the machine and see if we can run the programme with cold water instead of heating up. Thanks to Ecobubble, we get the same washing result as at 40 degrees, says Fornbäck.
He also highlights last year's combo model with 18 kilos of washing and 11 kilos of drying.

- It is popular among private individuals and companies. It has auto-dosing, heat pump technology, and A-class for both washing and drying. The difference in capacity is because drying requires more volume for the clothes to become dry, says Fornbäck.

Hobs and dishwashers
The hobs get a new surface.
- It is an anti-scratch structure that makes the glass more robust and minimises the risk of scratches when moving pots. This comes both as regular plates and with an integrated fan, says Fornbäck.
Samsung also shows a new technology that registers vibrations in the hob when the contents of the pot boil and automatically lowers the heat.
The dishwashers come in several energy classes between A and C.

- Some have their own glass wash in the cutlery drawer, and they open automatically when the washing is done, says Fornbäck.

Robot vacuum cleaners over thresholds
Samsung launches a robot vacuum cleaner that climbs over thresholds up to 4.5 cm.
- It has dual cameras that find small objects and liquids, both transparent and coloured. It can mop up or avoid liquid by choice. When it returns to the station, it empties the dust container and washes the mops with steam at 100 degrees to minimise bacteria, says Fornbäck.

Connection and updates
All the products are connected to SmartThings.
- We guarantee software updates for at least seven years. Customer service can connect directly to the product and read error codes. This makes service and maintenance easier, says Fornbäck.
