Rega mercury and solis

Rega Mercury is a symmetrically designed preamplifier with very low noise levels. The output stage operates in class A, and the design is discreet with Alps Blue Velvet RK27 volume control. The model has five line inputs (RCA/XLR), a high-quality D/A converter with coaxial, optical, and USB input, as well as an integrated headphone amplifier. Rega Solis is a power amplifier built as a symmetrical dual mono design. It has dual toroidal transformers and a 40,000 uF Rega K-Power capacitor bank per channel. The output power is specified at 2x305 watts RMS at 4 ohms and 2x168 watts RMS at 8 ohms. Twelve Sanken 130-watt, 15A output transistors (six per channel) are used in the output stage. The solution is developed to drive demanding speakers and serves as a partner to the Mercury preamplifier.
